About
Alpha Muluh
Author. Speaker.

Alpha Muluh helps behavioral health leaders increase revenue generation through employee retention.
He has spent more than 23 years inside the behavioral and mental health industrial complex, covering most cross-functional areas, from entry-level employee to leadership and ownership. He has worked with severely mentally ill members and members with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, transitional programs, substance use programs, and community resource programs. His previous roles included special education substitute teacher, case manager, program manager, and outreach director. He has worked shifts ranging from dayshift, nightshift, 12-hour shifts 16-hour shifts, and, believe it or not, many 24-hour shifts. As an employee. As an employer.
He resuscitated members seconds away from overdosing. He found himself on the floor during a brawl with chairs and plates flying like frisbees. He informed a family that he had found their loved one dead after breaking down a bathroom door at one of his facilities. He had to manage an employee who showed up to work on his day off with a gun. Every one of the painful and joyful experiences shaped the frameworks in this book.
Alpha cofounded and was the previous co-owner of Cadens Health and Wellness, a multi-facility behavioral health agency in Arizona, for nearly nine years. He holds a master’s in industrial and organizational psychology from Grand Canyon University and an LL.M. in Law from Arizona State University.
